Who Can Apply
Provided that they are either graduating from high school or are already graduates:
a) Those who are foreign nationals,
b) Individuals who were Turkish citizens by birth but have obtained permission from the Ministry of Interior to renounce their Turkish citizenship, and those who can document that their minor children registered on the renunciation certificate have the "Certificate of Rights Granted" under the Turkish Citizenship Law (Article 7 of the Turkish Citizenship Law states, “(1) A child born inside or outside Turkey to a Turkish citizen mother or father within a marriage is a Turkish citizen.” This can be beneficial for candidates applying for acceptance quotas from abroad.)
c) Those who acquired Turkish citizenship after being foreign nationals, as well as dual nationals in this situation,
d) Turkish citizens who completed all their secondary education in a foreign country, excluding the TRNC (including those who completed all their secondary education in Turkish schools abroad),
e) Citizens of the TRNC who reside in the TRNC and have GCE A Level results, as well as those who registered and studied at colleges and high schools in other countries between 2005-2010 and have or will have GCE A Level results.
Applications from international student candidates who meet the following criteria will not be accepted:
a) Turkish citizens who completed all their secondary education in Turkey or the TRNC,
b) TRNC citizens (excluding those who completed all their secondary education in TRNC high schools and have GCE A Level results, or those who registered and studied in other countries between 2005-2010 and have or will have GCE A Level results),
c) Dual nationals whose first nationality is Turkish by birth as defined in paragraph b of section I of Article 7 (excluding those who completed all their secondary education in a foreign country outside the TRNC or in Turkish schools outside the TRNC),
d) Dual nationals with one nationality being TRNC (excluding those who completed all their secondary education in TRNC high schools and have GCE A Level results, or those who registered and studied in other countries between 2005-2010 and have or will have GCE A Level results),
e) Turkish citizens or dual nationals whose first nationality is Turkish by birth, as defined in paragraph b of section I of Article 7, who are studying at schools under the auspices of Turkish embassies or at foreign high schools in Turkey,
f) Individuals who have engaged in activities against Turkey through their thoughts and actions or have been expelled from Turkish citizenship as a sanction,
g) Those who have benefited from scholarships or higher education opportunities provided by the Turkish government to foreign governments through cultural agreements, cultural exchange programs, and similar arrangements, as well as Turkish citizens who graduated from the Western European Open Education High School programs (excluding those who resided abroad while studying in the Western European Open Education High School programs),
h) Turkish citizens who have completed a high school in Turkey cannot apply even if they later graduate from a high school abroad. If they do apply, they cannot register.
